Ingredients

  • 1 black tea bag
  • 4 oz boiling water
  • 1/2 large Asian Pear, peeled and cored
  • 4 mint leaves
  • 1.33 oz simple syrup
  • 3 oz sparkling water
  • 1.33 tbsp water
  • 1.33 tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Steep the black tea bag in 4 oz of boiling water for 4-5 minutes, then remove the tea bag and chill the tea.
  2. Prepare the simple syrup by boiling water and sugar until the sugar dissolves, then refrigerate.
  3. Purée the Asian pear until smooth and strain to remove any chunks.
  4. In a pitcher, muddle the mint leaves with the pear purée.
  5. Stir the chilled black tea and simple syrup into the pitcher and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  6. Just before serving, stir in the sparkling water and pour over ice.
