Asian Pear Sparkler
A refreshing and balanced mix of Asian pear, mint, black tea, and sparkling water.
Ingredients
- 1 black tea bag
- 4 oz boiling water
- 1/2 large Asian Pear, peeled and cored
- 4 mint leaves
- 1.33 oz simple syrup
- 3 oz sparkling water
- 1.33 tbsp water
- 1.33 tbsp sugar
Instructions
- Steep the black tea bag in 4 oz of boiling water for 4-5 minutes, then remove the tea bag and chill the tea.
- Prepare the simple syrup by boiling water and sugar until the sugar dissolves, then refrigerate.
- Purée the Asian pear until smooth and strain to remove any chunks.
- In a pitcher, muddle the mint leaves with the pear purée.
- Stir the chilled black tea and simple syrup into the pitcher and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Just before serving, stir in the sparkling water and pour over ice.
