Banana Buzz-a-Rum
A creamy and indulgent cocktail with a delightful blend of Kahlua, banana syrup, dark rum, milk, and vanilla ice cream, reminiscent of a grown-up banana shake with a subtle hint of coffee.
Ingredients
- 0.70 oz Kahlua
- 3 oz banana syrup
- 1 oz dark rum
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
- 1 slice banana and whipped cream, for garnish
- BANANA SYRUP
- 1 cup water
- 1/4- 1/2 cup sugar (depending on your sweet tooth)
- 2 very ripe bananas, mashed
Instructions
- Start by making the banana syrup: Heat the sugar and water until the sugar is fully dissolved, then add the mashed banana and stir. Let it cool, then strain the liquid, discarding the solids. The remaining banana syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to a day.
- In a blender, combine Kahlua, banana syrup, dark rum, milk, and vanilla ice cream.
- Blend the ingredients until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a milkshake glass and garnish with whipped cream and a slice of banana, if desired.
