  • 2 tablespoons salted butter (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon rum extract (or rum emulsion)
  • 1/4 cup vanilla ice cream (softened)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • cinnamon stick for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, powdered sugar, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until fluffy.
  2. Add the rum extract and softened vanilla ice cream to the bowl, then mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the buttered rum mixture to a large sealable container and freeze until firm, about 2-4 hours.
  4. When ready to serve, boil 1 cup of water.
