Ingredients
- 2 oz mezcal or silver tequila
- 0.50 oz orange liquor
- 2 oz apple cider
- 2 oz no-sugar cranberry juice
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 0.25 cup ginger beer
- apples, cinnamon, and/or rosemary for serving
- 1 tbsp coarse sugar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 0.25 cup finely chopped candied ginger pieces
- 0.50 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Rim the glass by coating the rim with a mixture of coarse sugar, brown sugar, chopped ginger, and cinnamon.
- Fill the glass with ice.
- In a cocktail shaker, mix mezcal or tequila, apple cider, cranberry juice, and orange liquor. Shake well, then fill the shaker with ice and shake for 1 minute. Pour into the prepared glass.
- Top with ginger beer.
- Garnish with apple slices, cinnamon sticks, and rosemary. Optionally, light the cinnamon stick for a smoky effect.
- To make a Mocktail: omit the tequila and use 0.25 cup apple cider with 0.25 to 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar.
