A refreshing and indulgent dessert cocktail with the classic flavors of root beer and vanilla ice cream, topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a cherry.
Ingredients
- 12 oz A&W Root Beer
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 3-4 maraschino cherries with stems
- 2 tbsp Cool Whip or canned whipped cream
Instructions
- Pour the A&W Root Beer into a plastic bucket with a lid and freeze until it reaches a slushy consistency, which takes approximately 2 1/2 hours or more depending on the freezer.
- Frost the mugs by filling them with ice and cold water, then placing them in the freezer for 5-7 minutes. Empty the mugs and keep them in the freezer until ready to use.
- Scoop vanilla ice cream into each frosted mug.
- Gently pour the slushy root beer into each mug.
- Top with a dollop of Cool Whip or whipped cream and add a cherry on top.
