Frozen Citrus Tequila Slush
A zesty and refreshing frozen tequila slush with a spicy and savory Tajin rim.
Ingredients
- 4 fl oz grapefruit juice
- 2 fl oz freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 fl oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz agave syrup or simple syrup
- 4 fl oz Blanco tequila
- 1 cup ice
- 1 teaspoon each salt, sugar, and Tajin, for glass rim
- Grapefruit slice, for garnish
- Mint sprig, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large measuring glass or pitcher, mix grapefruit juice, orange juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and Blanco tequila.
- Pour the mixture into ice cube molds and freeze until solid, which usually takes 4-6 hours.
- Transfer the frozen mixture into a high-power blender, add 1 cup of ice, and blend until smooth and frothy, about 30 seconds.
- Combine equal amounts of salt, sugar, and Tajin on a small plate. Run the edge of the glass with a grapefruit slice and dip the glass edge into the mixture.
- Pour the slushee mixture into a glass. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and mint sprig.
