Frozen Citrus Tequila Slush

A zesty and refreshing frozen tequila slush with a spicy and savory Tajin rim.

Ingredients

  • 4 fl oz grapefruit juice
  • 2 fl oz freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 fl oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz agave syrup or simple syrup
  • 4 fl oz Blanco tequila
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 teaspoon each salt, sugar, and Tajin, for glass rim
  • Grapefruit slice, for garnish
  • Mint sprig, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large measuring glass or pitcher, mix grapefruit juice, orange juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and Blanco tequila.
  2. Pour the mixture into ice cube molds and freeze until solid, which usually takes 4-6 hours.
  3. Transfer the frozen mixture into a high-power blender, add 1 cup of ice, and blend until smooth and frothy, about 30 seconds.
  4. Combine equal amounts of salt, sugar, and Tajin on a small plate. Run the edge of the glass with a grapefruit slice and dip the glass edge into the mixture.
  5. Pour the slushee mixture into a glass. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and mint sprig.
