Ingredients

  • 1 egg (separated into yolks and whites)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 oz gold rum
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 oz gold rum
  • 1/2 oz bourbon or whiskey
  • hot water
  • ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks until smooth and add the ground spices, then blend well.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then carefully fold them into the yolk mixture.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar to the mixture, mixing thoroughly after each addition, and then blend in 1/2 oz of rum.
  4. To serve, pour the batter into a mug, add 1/2 oz of rum and 1/2 oz of whiskey, then top off with hot water.
  5. Stir the cocktail well and finish by sprinkling ground nutmeg on top.
