Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit wedge
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp Hibiscus Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz white tequila
  • 1/4 cup club soda
  • Kosher salt for garnish
  • 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a small pot over medium-high heat. Remove from heat, add hibiscus flowers, and steep for 5 minutes. Strain out the hibiscus flowers.
  2. Return the pot to the stove, add sugar, and heat on medium until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool before using.
  3. Spread kosher salt on a small plate. Rub the rim of a highball glass with a grapefruit or lime wedge and dip the rim in salt.
  4. Combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, and hibiscus simple syrup in the glass and stir.
  5. Stir in tequila, add ice, and top off with club soda. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
