Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit wedge
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon Hibiscus Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz white tequila
  • 1/4 cup club soda
  • kosher salt for garnish
  • 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a small pot, then remove from heat and steep hibiscus flowers for 5 minutes. Strain out the flowers.
  2. Return the pot to the stove, add sugar, and dissolve over medium heat. Allow the hibiscus syrup to cool before using.
  3. Rim a highball glass with a grapefruit or lime wedge, then dip the rim in kosher salt.
  4. Mix grapefruit juice, lime juice, and hibiscus simple syrup in the glass, then stir in tequila.
  5. Add ice and top off with club soda. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
