Ingredients

  • 2 cups premium vodka
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup mild honey
  • Ice (optional)
  • Cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the vodka and oats in a large glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
  2. Seal the jar and let it rest in a cool, dark place for 3 days, shaking it thoroughly once a day.
  3. After 3 days, strain the vodka through cheesecloth, discarding the oats.
  4. Let the residue settle for about 15 minutes before proceeding with the next steps.
  5. Strain 6 or 7 more times through fresh cheesecloth until the vodka becomes milky but not chalky white.
  6. Add the honey and mix well for several minutes to combine.
  7. For smoother flavor, refrigerate for 1 week before serving.
  8. Shake well before using and serve over ice in old-fashioned glasses or chilled in martini glasses.
  9. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
