Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plain thick yogurt
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin (coarsely crushed)
  • 3-4 large mint leaves
  • 2-3 sprigs of cilantro leaves
  • Salt and sugar, to taste
  • 1/2-inch fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1/2 green chili, slit in half and seeds removed
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine yogurt, water, roasted cumin, mint leaves, cilantro leaves, ginger, salt, and sugar.
  2. Blend until smooth. Strain for a smoother texture, if desired.
  3. Pour the mixture into a jar and add the green chili for infusion. For a spicier version, blend the green chili with other ingredients before straining.
  4. Serve cold with ice cubes.
