Ingredients

  • 1 egg (yolk separated from the white)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 ounce gold rum
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/4 ounce gold rum
  • 1/4 ounce bourbon or whiskey
  • hot water
  • ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolk until smooth and add the spices, then mix well.
  2. In another bowl, beat the egg white until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture, then add the powdered sugar in two parts, mixing well each time.
  4. Stir in 1/2 ounce of rum.
  5. Transfer 2 ounces of the batter into a mug and add 1/4 ounce of rum and 1/4 ounce of whiskey.
  6. Top off with hot water, stir, and sprinkle ground nutmeg on top.
