Ingredients

  • 1 Edible Flower
  • 0.50 oz Egg White
  • Ice Cubes
  • 1.50 oz Jameson Black Barrel
  • 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 0.50 oz Strawberry Syrup

Instructions

  1. For the Fresh Strawberry Syrup, start by rinsing the strawberries, removing the stems, and slicing them into smaller pieces.
  2. Place the strawberries in a medium saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Then reduce to a medium simmer and cook for about 20 minutes, skimming any foam that rises to the top.
  3. Strain the strawberry liquid through a strainer into another clean pot, separating the solid berries from the liquid.
  4. Add 2 cups of sugar to the strawberry liquid, bring it back to a boil, stirring frequently to dissolve the sugar into the syrup. Let it simmer for 5 minutes till the sugar is completely dissolved, skimming any additional foam that rises to the top. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. Pour into a glass container, seal, and refrigerate. The syrup should last for several weeks.
  5. In a shaker, combine the Jameson Black Barrel, fresh lemon juice, and the strawberry syrup. Dry Shake for 30 seconds.
  6. Add ice cubes into the shaker and the egg white. Shake again for 30 seconds.
  7. Pour into a chilled glass and add fresh edible flowers as a beautiful, summer garnish.
